CORONATION; THE NEW ALASI OF ASI KINGDOM GETS HIS STAFF OF OFFICE.

Asi, in its entirety wake up with joy as the king of the town collected the Staff of Office today.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Olasunkanmi Oyewale Isaac Akorede 1 was crowned some months ago in his palace at Asi town, Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun State.

Following his victory at the court over the aggrieved parties, Kabiesi, Oyewale Olasunkanmi Isaac Akorede 1 was given the Staff of Office today by the executive Governor of Osun State whom was duly represented by Mr Adeleke Yekini Adedayo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, stating that the Alh. Gboyega Oyetola would have come by himself but He had a genuine cause to travel to Saudi Arabia.

In attendance was also, the Senator of Osun central senatorial district in person of Senator Ajibola Bashiru popularly called SRJ, the honourable member, representing Odo-otin Local Government at the state House of Assembly in person of Hon. Adetoyi Micheal Adeyinka popularly called (AMA). The executive chairman of Odo-Otin North Local Council Development Area, whose jurisdictions, Asi community falls into equally felicitate with the King and the community at large through his speech. Hon(Engr) Kilomodemo, Hon. Lekan Oyediran,Engr. Adetunji Dare and a host of others also formed part of the noble men on the high table

Our Royal Fathers were not left out too as our news agent equally recorded, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kelani Adekeye Oluyeye 1, The Oloyan of Oyan was also in attendance, the Onijabe of Ijabe, Olokuku of Okukuland, Alasaba of Asaba, Olunisa of Inisaland, Onigbaye of Igbaye, Akosin of Ekosin and other Royal Fathers were present at the occasion.

The 9th Alasi of Asi in person of Oba Olasunkanmi expressed his profound gratitude as he gave his speech which he equally used to remind the politicians and the government about the dilapidated state of Community High school, Asi Asaba.

The National body Federation of Oyan,Asi,Asaba Students Union (FOAASU NATIONAL) wasn't left out too as Comrade Olanrewaju Yusuf Tunde popularly called Uselaw (President), Comrade Adewuyi Omotola Olaide who is also known as St. Cornelius (The General Secretary of the Union) and a Lady Comrade, Adeyemo Taiwo, also formed part of those that represented FOAASU NATIONAL in the name of celebrating with the people of Asi community.

Indeed, happiness was boldly written on the face of Asi dwellers as they celebrate the coronation of the new king.
